Atlantadelphia’s own, STS will finally release his full-length debut, The Illustrious. The free album features 16 cuts with appearances by Yelawolf, Farnsworth Bentley and Black Thought of the Roots. Providing production for The Illustrious will be Ski Beatz, Alchemist, Will Power and The Knux. The first salvo off The Illustrious is the Alchemist-produced, “The Interview”. For this gem, STS plays both interviewer and interviewee in a memorable showcase of storytelling rarely seen in today’s game. The song provides a detailed look inside the mind of STS, as Alchemist’s soulful backdrop provides the perfect balance of lyric and beat.

We’ve received a preview of the new 4/20 Nike SB Dunk Highs. If you remember last year Todd Bratrud designed the Skunk SB Highs which dropped on 4/20 and became one of the biggest releases of 2010. He’s back again this year with a new design for 2011 4/20. Rumor has it that the shoe features a hidden layer. Much like the Statue of Liberty Dunk Highs. In the picture that was released you can see that the twine-like material tears away to reveal a green layer. Knowing Todd Bratrud these will be dope. Stay tuned for more pictures.

Today 3 major releases drop in your local sneaker stores. The Air Jordan 13 Playoffs/All-Star, The Kobe VI BHM, and the Air Jordan 3 BHM. All of these shoes have been highly anticipated since word first got out about them. The Air Jordan 13′s are a re-release of the OG 13′s from 1997. However the Kobe VI BHM and the Air Jordan 3 BHM are completely new colorways for each shoe in honor of Black History Month. Although the Air Jordan 3′s look like they could’ve been in the DMP 6/11 from ’06, they feature a unique Black History Month print in place of the usual and fan favorite elephant print. The same print is used on the Kobe VI’s also. So with that said, how do you feel about these releases? Any plans on coppin’ any? Let us know in the comment section.
