your personal playlists aren’t defined by genres, so why should your concerts be? sometimes the most exciting sounds come from the most unexpected combinations. this summer, vitaminwater has partnered with FADER to bring you “uncapped,” a nationwide concert series dedicated to bringing the best artists working in hip-hop, electronic and indie rock and combining them in an unprecedented series of shows. fans should be prepared because each concert promises to be an exciting shuffle of sounds they couldn’t possibly contain.
the fifth concert of the series took place last night in austin at the millennium entertainment center, with the unexpected pairing of a-trak and little dragon with a surprise appearance by big boi. A roller coaster of music styles, little dragon soothed the crowd with their signature sound until big boi showed up to perform “mama told me” featuring little dragon, the first live performance of the yet unreleased single. a-trak then energized the crowd into a dancing fury with a final explosive performance of “shutterbug” that included a live performance by little dragon….and big boi….once he made his way through the audience to the stage.
