Remix Track Celebrates Collaboration Of Man Bites Dog Records’ Talented Roster..
Complex premieres the most recent collaboration between multiple artists under the Man Bites Dog Recordslabel, a remix of rapper Double A.B. and producer Dub Sonata’s track “Lord Knows What” Ft. Roc Marciano. The track was remixed by Blockhead, who just recently released his own album with collaborator Illogic entitled Capture The Sun. The track orginally appeared on the Double A.B. & Dub Sonata 2012 album Media Shower, which boasted features from Marciano, Evidence, Cannibal Ox, Sean Price and Scram Jones.
Blockhead was more than game for the opportunity to work with A.B., having known A.B. since he himself was 18 years old. And with Roc Maricano recently named as VP & Director of A&R for the label, it seemed like the perfect time to release a record that demonstrated the impressive wealth of talent Man Bites Dog Records has assembled. With a new beat tailored specifically for the remix track, Blockhead went for “more of a head nod, driving force” type sound, leading to a “break that was airy and little self reflective.” Coupled with spirited lyrical deliveries from Double A.B. and Roc Marciano, the track is a perfect example of the label’s continued evolution and growing dominance.
